In this chapter, we begin an ethical journey. We will be asked to enter a part of our lives that we have already encountered. You may have to make some important ethical decisions. In many ways, we will discuss familiar topics. Despite your experience, you may not have had the opportunity to think about and discuss your experience in a systematic manner. This is the intent of the course. The course helps you to find your way through the maze of ethical and moral challenges that confront you on a daily basis. The course begins by defining Ethics and Morality. We will explore the four ethical experinces and we will talk about the three ethical theorists. So sit back and enjoy the journey.

I like this quote because I have had to start my life over, and the beginning is always taking the first step. If you dont act then nothing will ever get accomplished and you will not suceed in life.
The maze of ethical and moral challenges that confront us on a daily basis can be rather difficult considering not everyone has morals. Sometimes we ourselves make calculated mistakes, but like Confucius also said “be not ashamed of mistakes and thus make them crimes.” And I think that’s a vast portion of what this course encompasses, the journey and how best to be morally prepared to handle it. Life is a maze in which we take the wrong turn before we have learnt to walk; perhaps learning our ethics is the process in which we learn to walk in the journey of life?

To try and do what is right is difficult because it involves ethics and morals. To know what is right takes time and experience and there is never really a right answer but all we can do is try to do our best with what God has given us already and to continue to learn about how we can make the right choices.
